You might consider giving the DREAM Institute a piece of real estate such as homes, condominiums, apartments, undeveloped land, farmland, and rental property. A gift of highly appreciated real estate can provide substancial tax benefits. There are several ways to make a real estate gift to the DREAM Institute:
Give the property outright, and receive an income tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the property.
Give the property to the DREAM Institute, but retain the right to continue living there during your lifetime (a retained life estate). You agree to pay the costs of maintaining the property during your lifetime, and receive a substantial tax deduction in the year you make your gift.
A gift of property can make you eligible to be a recognized donor in the
DREAM Institute’s Legacy Guild or DREAM Catcher's Guild.
Tangible Personal Property or In-Kind Donation
The DREAM Institute also gladly accepts gift of personal property (such as jewelry, art, or antiques) that can be converted to cash to fund programs. In addition, the DREAM Institute also accepts in-kind donations: (printing, computers, hardware, furniture, office space, etc.) that is vital to running the DREAM Institute operations and programs.
Because of the many considerations regarding gifts of real estate or personal property, we ask that you contact your advisors to discuss your giving wishes. Once you have decided what is right for you, please contact the Institute at 918-588-3600 or by emailing at dream@dreaminstitute.org as our planned giving advisors are readily available to serve you.
